The Public
Information Tracking System (PITS)
is designed to process and document information requests
from the general public and provide management with
a comprehensive view of information requests.
The system
documents the volume of requests and delivers statistics
on both the percentage of satisfied requests and the
turnaround time in responding to the requests. In addition,
the system includes invoicing for chargeable services.
The primary
functions are to:
• Maintain the historical records of public information
requests.
• Provide a system that is accessible to various
departments.
• Provide a system that is capable of identifying
requests by department.
• Provide management reporting that presents the
request volumes and turnaround times by section.
• Provide for the entry of fees and service types.
• Provide for the invoicing of services.
• Provide for the collection of payments and revenues.
• Provide accounting features consistent with
standard Fiscal requirements.
• Provide controls for the security of the records.
The PITS
is a PC based program compatible with Microsoft
Windows 2000, and Windows XP operating systems and uses
either MS SQL Server 7, MS SQL Server 2000, or MS SQL
Server 2005 databases.
