The Electronic
Interface (EI)
System provides a means of accepting boiler and pressure
vessel inspections electronically. The program is
designed to accept inspection findings from the insurance
industry.
The primary
benefit of EI is that it greatly reduces the amount
of data entry required of the clerical staff. This in
turn reduces the staffing requirements and improves
operating efficiency.
The data format
is consistent with format recommended by the American
Insurance Association. The EI
System accepts inspection data in a
computer readable format, checks for accuracy, consistency,
and completeness then presents the data for the user
to review. Inspections may be accepted and downloaded
into the database or rejected and returned to the submitting
inspector or company.
