The
Elevator Records Management System (ER-MS)
is designed to provide those functions necessary
to support the administrative and field operations
of an elevator inspection agency or department. The
program provides for entry of permits, and many types
of inspection on all type of elevators. It produces
inspection forms, invoices, certificates, and correction
notices. The program includes an inspection scheduling
feature that schedules and reschedules inspections
based on elevator type. The program is currently used
in many states and Canadian provinces, and incorporates
the best operating features of each jurisdiction.
The primary objectives of ER-MS
are to provide automated support in:
• Issuing of permits to construct,
alter, and repair elevators.
• Issuing of inspection forms
for the initial and ongoing inspection of elevators.
• Providing for the entry and retention of inspection
findings.
• Issuing of invoices for inspection
activities.
• Issuing of Operating Certificates.
• Providing for the receipt of revenues
from permits, invoices and certificates.
• Issuing Suspension letters
for non payment of fees.
• Issuing Citation letters for
code violations.
• Producing the accounting reports
necessary to audit and control revenues owed and received.
The ER-MS is a PC
based program compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000,
and Windows XP operating systems and uses either MS
SQL Server 7, MS SQL Server 2000, or MS SQL Server 2005 databases.
